Materials:

• A small black candle
• A handful of dried elderberries
• A piece of paper and pen
• A fireproof bowl or plate
• Matches or a lighter

Instructions:

Begin by finding a quiet and comfortable space to perform this ritual. Light the black candle and place it in front of you.

Take a moment to connect with your intention for this spell. Write your intention on the piece of paper.

Take the handful of dried elderberries and hold them in your hand. Visualize a protective shield forming around you, made of the energy of the elderberries. Feel this shield enveloping you in a warm and comforting embrace.

Sprinkle the elderberries around the candle in a circle. As you do this, repeat the following chant: "By the power of elderberry, I cast a shield around me. Negative energy be gone, Only positivity may come."

Take the piece of paper with your intention and hold it over the candle. Allow the flame to consume the paper, releasing your intention into the universe.Place the ashes in the fireproof bowl or plate and allow them to cool.
